We are looking for a principal quality analyst to work 2nd shift, in our Quality Assurance Mission Systems team, who is an energetic individual ready to join a growing team to work on sight in our Baltimore, MD NGC facility. This individual will work in a dynamic environment, developing and implementing program quality plans, and procedures using statistical quality control techniques, lean manufacturing concepts, and six-sigma and analyses tools.

Roles and responsibilities include, but not limited to: Develop and implement quality plans, programs, and procedures using statistical quality control statistics, lean manufacturing concepts, and six-sigma tools and analyses. Ensures that performance and quality products conform to established company and regulatory standards. Reviews, analyzes, and reports on quality discrepancies related to assembly, process, mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical systems. Investigates problems and develops disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies. Interfaces with manufacturing, engineering, customer, vendor, and subcontractor representatives to ensure requirements are met.

Recommends corrective actions, dispositions, and modifications.

•Facilitates Mfg Preventative & Corrective Action Boards (PCAB’s)

•Engineers factory quality processes and statistical process controls

• Initiates Corrective Action Request and launches RCCA’s for issues in the factory

•Leads and participates in Continuous Improvement initiatives

•Initiates the Material Review Board (MRB) process

•Audits quality systems and communicates audit findings & observations

•Provides clarification of requirements to inspection, engineering, & manufacturing including verifying or invalidating Quality Notifications

•Recommends improvements and drawing changes through Revision Notices and updates to visual examination criteria

•Issues Supplier Quality Notifications for supplier quality issues found in the factory and initiates the RCCA process by communicating with Supplier and Program Quality teams

• Initiates, reviews, or approves standard repair procedures, production routers, shop orders and First Article Inspections

•Interfaces with Program Quality on Quality Assurance Directive (QAD) content and specific program quality requirements for the factory

•Primary interface to DCMA for factory metrics, customer product submittals, sell offs, and DCAR’s issued in the factory

Basic Qualifications:

Must be able to work 2nd shift

Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality; master’s degree and a minimum of 3 years of experience in Quality; will consider of minimum of 9 years in lieu of bachelor's degree

Experience with AS9100/ISO9001 Quality Management

Experience managing Quality Management Systems, process management, training, and continuous improvement

US Citizenship required

Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with composites or manufacturing environment

5+ years of audit experience

Advanced SAP experience

Experience auditing

GD&T experience

Experience with data analysis techniques

Experience in leading in Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations

Experience participating in cross-site and cross-functional continuous improvement projects

Salary Range: $87,000.00 - $130,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
