**Position Summary**
The Network Engineer builds andmaintainsthe internal infrastructure systems at ISC2.The incumbent will join an in-flight effort to optimize on-premises and cloud footprint to providemaximumreliability and consistency throughout the network. Automatingthe environment is keyto reducingtasks, improvingproductivity, and acceleratingprocesses.
**Responsibilities**
+ Maintain,buildupon,and implementthe global infrastructure footprint with a key focus on automation.
+ Be security conscious.Guard theconfidentiality, integrity, and availability of data and systems atISC2.
+ Administer and configure enterprise networking equipment,includingswitches,firewall, and routers.
+ Work withtheSecurityTeam to securely configure the infrastructure network,firewall, switches,routers,and other tools asrequired.
+ Maintain and update current securityand infrastructuredocumentation, networkingmaps,system diagrams, and topologies.
+ Provide end-user and internal application, network, and system troubleshooting as needed
+ Work independently under limited supervision.
+ Tune system parameters and configurations to optimize performanceusing industry best practices.
+ Provide input oncapacityplanning to reducecostswithoutimpactingservice quality.
+ Document processes, systems, solutions, and topologies within the infrastructure areas of responsibility.
+ Stay informedof changes to technology and recommend new products or approaches as needed.
+ Monitor andmaintainnetwork performance, ensuring uptime and reliability for LAN, WAN, and wireless networks.
+ Perform basic troubleshooting and resolution of network connectivity issues, escalating complex problems to senior engineers as needed.
+ Configure and install network hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and access points, under supervision. -Assistin the setup, maintenance, and documentation of network configurations and topologies.
+ Respond to service tickets and providetimelysupport to end-users and internal teams.
+ Conduct routine network maintenance tasks, such as patch management, backups, and firmware updates.
+ Collaborate with IT teams to support network security measures, includingfirewallrules and access controls.
+ Maintainaccuratedocumentation of network configurations, processes, and incident reports.
+ Stay updated on basic networking technologies and best practices to support ongoing professional development.
+ Perform miscellaneous duties, as assigned.

**Qualifications**
+ Basic understanding of networking protocols and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs). - Familiarity with network hardware (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, or similar) and tools like Wireshark or SolarWinds. - Knowledge of network
+ Basic understanding ofmanaging VMware
+ Working knowledgeofendpoint management tools,such as JAMF,PRTG,Intune,etc.
+ Must have basic comprehension of the OSI model, Agilemethodologyand ITIL related processes
+ Cisco Certified Network Associate Routing & Switching (CCNA)preferred;other industry certifications are also desirable.
+ Wi-Fi setup/management using Meraki,highlypreferred
+ Experience in SQL management and maintenance is a plus
**Education and Work Experience**
+ Bachelor’sdegreeininformation technology, Computer Science,or related fieldpreferred; or at least4years ofenterprise-level work experiencemay beconsideredin lieu of degree
+ 2years minimum related enterprise-level work experienceon a networkandsystems team
+ Experiencewith implementing routing, switching, and security controls through the OSI modelrequired
+ 2 yearsof experiencewithmaintainingcloud-based platformssuch asAmazon AWS, Microsoft Azure,andMicrosoftO365using IaaS and PaaS, preferred
+ Experience with patching andupdatingWindows / Linux serversis aplus
**Physical and Mental Demands**
+ Work normal business hours and extended hours,evenings,and weekends when necessary;participatein a 24x7 on-call rotation
+ 5-10% travel may berequired(domestic and international)
+ Remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting, for prolonged periods
+ Regular use of office equipment such as a computer/laptop andmonitorcomputer screens
+ Occasionally,10-15% of the time, transport and/orliftto 50 lbs. of equipment or packages, which may also involve squatting, bending, or kneeling
