**Warehouse/Yard Manager Steel Company Job Description:**

+ Oversees the efficient and safe flow of materials and products within the warehouse and yard.

+ Ensuring smooth operations, inventory accuracy, and adherence to safety regulations.

+ This role involves managing staff, coordinating logistics, and implementing procedures to optimize productivity and minimize costs.

+ Supervising daily warehouse and yard activities, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping steel products.

+ Managing inventory, ensuring accuracy, and minimizing discrepancies.

+ Coordinating the movement of materials and equipment using forklifts.

+ Assigning tasks, scheduling workloads, and monitoring employee performance.

+ Training and onboarding new employees on warehouse procedures, safety protocols, and equipment operation.

+ Fostering a positive and productive work environment.

+ Enforcing safety regulations and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and standards.

+ Conducting regular safety inspections and audits to identify and address potential hazards.

+ Maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.

+ Developing and implementing strategies to optimize warehouse layout and workflow.

+ Managing shipping and transportation logistics.

+ Monitoring stock levels and identifying potential shortages or overstock situations.

+ Implementing inventory control procedures to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.

+ Analyzing data and identifying areas for improvement.

+ Communicating effectively with team members, other departments, and external stakeholders.

+ Providing regular updates on warehouse operations to management.

+ Experience in the steel industry is often preferred.

+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

**Pay Details:** $20.00 to $25.00 per hour
