About the Department/College

The Construction Management (CM) Program serves 345 undergraduate students and is accredited by the American Council for Construction Education. The Civil Engineering and Environmental Engineering Programs (CENE) jointly serve 287 undergraduate and 18 graduate students and are accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET.

The CM Program receives substantial industry support, allowing us to tap into a broad range of expertise. About the Position

We seek candidates with a passion for teaching undergraduate students who have recent and relevant domestic construction and/or engineering industry experiences. The primary duties will be in-person classroom teaching in the Construction Management Program, with options to teach in the Civil Engineering Program depending on qualifications and departmental needs.

About the Position

The Department of Civil Engineering, Construction Management, and Environmental Engineering (CECMEE), in the Steve Sanghi College of Engineering (SCE) invites applications for a Part Time Faculty position in the Civil and Environmental Engineering (CENE) Program. We seek candidates who have a passion for teaching along with relevant education and industry experience.

The primary duties will be in-person, remote, or hybrid classroom teaching of undergraduate courses, which may include disciplinary areas of:

• civil engineering
• environmental engineering
• geotechnical engineering
• land development
• structural engineering
• transportation engineering
• water resources

Responsibilities Include

• Teaching undergraduate level courses, delivering exams, supervising students, and grading student work.

The temporary faculty pool is continuously open, and positions are filled as needed, based on student enrollment and funding. The intent of the pool is to provide opportunities to our industry partners and community professionals to serve as NAU instructors of record as their skills and experience align with the needs of the college and its students. The number of positions will vary from semester to semester, by department, are temporary, and these opportunities may arise on short notice. The pool will remain in place for one academic year (August- May). A.T. Still University's Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health (ATSU-ASDOH) is seeking a full-time exempt Community-Based & Student Research Faculty at the Assistant or Associate level on the Mesa, Arizona campus.

**Duties & Responsibilities:**

+ Conduct teaching, patient care, scholarly, and service activities in support of the mission, goals, and objectives of the School and University, with primary responsibility for facilitating the students' clinical experience and clinical skills to demonstrate competency in patient-centered care that integrates biomedical, behavioral, and clinical sciences.

+ Promote an atmosphere of respect, collegiality, commitment to diversity and social justice, and a humanistic learning environment.

+ Conduct teaching, scholarship, service, and patient care in support of the mission and goals of ASDOH and ATSU.

+ Clinical supervision at the Juvenile Detention Center as part of the ICSP rotations for 3 days per week, and dental public health.

+ Participate in and seek leadership positions in committees, faculty governance, professional societies and associations, and community events (not required for adjunct faculty).

+ Support the Assistant Dean of Research 1 day per week with student research activities.

+ Collaborate with the Senior Director CBDE on didactic dental public health and tele-dentistry curriculum, including teaching the necessary courses. The curriculum should complement, not duplicate, the existing public health curriculum provided by the College of Graduate Health Studies.

+ Directly supervise 4th-year dental students at the Juvenile Detention Center ICSP rotation site.

+ Supervise students during Teledentistry and other external sites as assigned.

+ Work with the Assistant Dean of Research to support and mentor research activities for students.

+ Maintain fiscal responsibility.

Requirements

+ DMD/DDS and Licensure in the state of Arizona are Required.

+ Excellent communication, problem-solving, crisis management, and organizational skills, high emotional intelligence, tact, and diplomacy.

+ Must be able to be self-directed and take the initiative.

+ Must be highly skilled in dental public health; willing and able to act as a hands-on faculty instructor (e.g., clinic)
