Responsibilities

+ Supports the ME team at all levels & operations with required technical and general support

+ Define manufacturing processes and maintain detailed manufacturing instructions for complex manufacturing product

+ Design tooling & fixtures for manufacturing and validation of product

+ Actively participate in the engineering change process

Minimum Qualifications

+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field plus 5 years as a Manufacturing Engineer OR a Master's degree in Engineering and 3 year of related technical experience OR an Associate degree in Engineering or related technical field plus 7 years of manufacturing engineering related experience OR In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of manufacturing engineering related experience and high school diploma or GED

+ Read and interpret assembly drawings, procedures and ensure blue print compliance

+ Advanced knowledge and utilization of GD&T, schematics and relevant test and inspection equipment

+ Advanced knowledge and utilization of solid modeling

+ Advanced knowledge and utilization of Lean and Six Sigma Principles

+ Demonstrated and documented cost savings projects

**The Role**

Operates company's complex high traffic, business critical internet site communications and/or network-based (cloud) product systems. Plans, designs, and implements scalable local and wide-area network solutions between multiple platforms and protocols (including IP and VOIP). + Alerts and accurately reports KPI's on systems status and availability with tuning recommendations if appropriate at regular intervals using log and APM analysis (IE uptime, Mean time to repair, Mean time between repairs, Probability of failure, etc.).

+ Creates detailed design and runtime (runbooks) documents for associated solutions built around current and new technologies.

+ Maintains up-to-date configuration documentation, diagrams, SOPS, work/incident tickets, training materials and other supporting documentation.

+ Provides and implements solutions for application automation and configuration management using orchestration tool sets such as Jenkins to streamline assembly and deployment, reducing delivery time and reduce errors (commonly known as CICD).

+ Ensures effective release management, change management and quality assurance in project lifecycles are maintained for applications using an ITIL centric approach.

+ Engages and collaborates regularly with infrastructure engineering, software engineering, quality assurance, and other organizational teams (both IT and non-IT) to provide status updates and work on both tactical and strategic plans.

+ Demonstrates various application environment tuning abilities, and able to provide solutions to capacity requirements involving those components (JVM, Web Containers, DB Connections, HTTP servers, etc.).

+ Manages production and non-production environments effectively and accounts for differences in each environment for the purposes of deployments, functional testing, and load testing.

+ Participates and/or leads blameless postmortem incident response sessions to work with teams to determine RCA and long-term recommendations for remediation to infrastructure and application code.

**What We Look For in a Candidate**

Required:

+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering, computer science, or related field.

+ 10+ years of related experience required.

+ 2+ years' previous experience with DevOps, GIT, CICD and/or related certifications.

+ 6-8 years of previous experience working with Java/J2EE, Microservices, Spring, SpringBoot, REST APIs, Postman.

+ Experience with an APM solution: AppDynamics (preferred), Dynatrace.

+ Experience working with infrastructure-based technologies (Load balancers, SSL, API Gateways, DNS, etc.).

Preferred:

+ Experience with AIOps tools like Splunk and Big Panda.

+ Experience with supporting containerized or cloud applications.

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

Position Summary

The Manufacturing Engineering Drafter II will report to the Chief Manufacturing Engineer and is responsible for completing modeling and drawing tasks for creating engineering documentation in support of manufacturing and testing of mechanical and fluid power products within the Manufacturing Engineering Department. This role will collaborate with Project Engineers and Manufacturing Engineers to complete assigned tasks. Conduct reviews of release package documentation prior to release into Sargent Systems.

Responsibilities

+ Generate and change models and drawings using CAD software and following Sargent CAD Directives

+ Check models and drawings to verify adherence to Sargent CAD Directives and release requirements

+ Complete all required Windchill tasks associated with creating, changing, and/or releasing documents

+ Using input provided by the Engineer in the form of marked drawings, prepare engineering layouts showing the relationship and arrangement of components for development of new products

+ Apply Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) to define design requirements for manufacturing and inspection

+ Determine and implement dimensioning schemes and GD&T for engineering drawings with Engineer's direction

+ BS or MS in a technical field (Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Materials Science)- required

+ 5+ years of process and/or failure analysis engineering experience or PhD in a technical field (Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Materials Science) with less than 5 years’ experience in a process engineering role that has included R&D functions in at least one of the following areas: chemical cleaning, coatings, coating/film removal, and thin film deposition or etching with some failure analysis

+ Proficiency in MS Word and Excel, must have general knowledge and basic usage understanding of Microsoft Access, PowerPoint, and SPC software programs

+ Demonstrated experience following instructions in written, oral and diagram form

+ Must have experience with standard operating procedures, and able to troubleshoot with logic and consistency

+ Ability to think and assemble information into a rational step-by-step process.

+ **The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $110,000. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered.
